D. Kay Zedlitz, RN, ACNP, BC
I have a passion for serving patients with complex arrhythmia problems and have dedicated my entire career to the field of Cardiovascular Disease and Electrophysiology.
Kay Zedlitz received her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing at Texas Woman’s University. She has worked in several different cardiac fields including bedside nursing in the Coronary Care/Transplant Unit, Cardiac Rehabilitation, Cardiac Surgery, Pacemaker Clinic, and Electrophysiology Lab. She decided to advance her career and received her Master’s degree at the University Of Massachusetts Graduate School Of Nursing. She is an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner with a Cardiac Subspecialty. After graduation, she worked as a Nurse Practitioner for Northeast Cardiology Associates in Bangor, Maine.
Kay moved back to Texas in 2001 and continued her career as a Nurse Practitioner in Electrophysiology at Scott and White in Temple, Texas. In 2007, she was given the opportunity to work with the doctors and staff at Texas Cardiac Arrhythmia. She maintains her certification as a Cardiac Device Specialist (CCDS) from the Heart Rhythm Society. She enjoys learning new things and continues to be amazed by the advances and improvements of Cardiac Electrophysiology.
