Dr. Francisco Gonzalez

I feel blessed to work in the El Paso community with a population that is typically underserved. It is my goal to explain as thoroughly as possible the problems and solutions associated with rhythm disorders. Nothing brings me greater pleasure than to meet with my patients after a procedure and have them tell me that I’ve truly made a difference in their lives. My dad was a physician and I know that I’ve made him proud by continuing his legacy of quality patient care.

Francisco Javier Gonzalez was born in San Antonio, Texas. His father was a respected Pathologist who instilled in him a heartfelt desire to be an active part of his community by helping those in need.

Francisco attended college at St. Mary’s University in San Antonio and in 1997 earned his bachelor’s degree in Biology. He went on to attend medical school at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston and graduated in 2001. Immediately following, he and his wife moved to Phoenix, Arizona where he started his residency program in Internal Medicine at Banner Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center. Passionate about cardiovascular diseases and diagnoses, he completed a three-year fellowship in General Cardiology at Good Samaritan and graduated in 2006. Deciding to specialize in rhythm disorders, he was accepted into a Cardiac Electrophysiology fellowship at the University of Louisville Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky.

Francisco is excited to be part of El Paso’s growing community of Cardiology specialists who focus on patient care and excellence in medicine. He is committed to providing compassionate and quality care to every patient he encounters.
