Cheryl Hurtado received her Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Science at Texas A&M University. After working 2 years in medical research she decided to pursue a nursing career, and graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a Master’s Degree in Nursing. She worked as an ICU nurse in Austin while attending school. She additionally became board certified as a Clinical Nurse Specialist for Adult Health. After graduation she began the Congestive Heart Failure Clinic at Austin Heart, where she worked for 16 years. She is now with Dr. Paul Coffeen with a specialty in electrophysiology.
