Cindy is a board-certified Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner and Adult-Gerontology CNS who joined TCA in 2020.  She received her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Maryland, Baltimore and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the Pacific Union College in Napa Valley, California.   She is a member of the American College of Cardiology, Texas Nurse Practitioners Association and American Association of Critical Care Nurses. 

Prior to joining TCA, Cindy worked as a CCU/Interventional Cardiology NP with UTHSCSA in San Antonio.  Prior to attending graduate school she worked for over thirty years as a Registered Nurse with the majority of her experience being in Emergency, Trauma and Critical Care Medicine. She has a passion for assisting patients to understand their cardiac disorders and treatment options allowing them to be active participants in the management of their care.

When not working, she and her husband enjoy traveling and spending time with their four grandchildren.
