Dr. Eric Taylor

I enjoy the process of translating complex arrhythmias and their potential sequelae into a language that my patients and their families can understand.

A native of Boston, MA, Dr. Eric Taylor Jr. graduated from the University of Detroit-Mercy as valedictorian with an AB Classical in classical studies before entering The Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. It was during his second year of medical school while conducting research with the late Dr. Levi Watkins, renown for placement of the first ICD and pioneering of implantation techniques, that he was exposed to electrophysiology. He completed a stint at the NIH as a Sarnoff Fellow before graduating from medical school and being awarded the Warfield T Loncope Prize for excellence in clinical medicine. He completed his internal medicine residency at The Johns Hopkins Hospital in two years. He remained at this hospital to complete his fellowship in cardiology and electrophysiology. Since completing his training, he has worked as a practicing electrophysiologist in the rapidly growing Rio Grande Valley of south Texas.
