Dr. Javier Sanchez

I was drawn to cardiac electrophysiology because I was fascinated by the idea that one could manipulate the electrical system of the heart with immediate benefit to the patient.

Dr. Javier Sanchez’s primary clinical focus is the treatment of cardiac arrhythmias with percutaneous catheter-based techniques. He is based in Texas Cardiac Arrhythmia’s Dallas office at Medical City Dallas, where he also serves as HCA North Texas division’s electrophysiology medical director. After completing his training, he worked as an assistant professor at the University of Alabama and later joined Texas Cardiac Arrhythmia, where he remains a member and owner. He is one of the initial founders of the Texas Cardiac Arrhythmia Institute’s ablation program, which is recognized across the world as one of the busiest in terms of ablation volume and academic/scientific publications. He has been an author and co-author in more than 100 peer-reviewed publications and more than 200 abstracts. Dr. Sanchez is regularly invited to participate as a speaker at scientific meetings and educational activities throughout the U.S., Central America, and South America. He is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and is a member of the American College of Cardiology, Heart Rhythm Society, Travis County Medical Society, and Texas Medical Association. He is fluent in English and Spanish.
