Lauren Thomas, AGACNP

I graduated from the University of Texas at Tyler in 2011 with a Bachelor of Science Psychology and a member of the women’s soccer team. In 2013, I completed my Bachelor of Science Nursing from the University of Texas at Tyler. I moved to Dallas, and started work at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. I completed the Critical Care Internship Program and worked in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit. There, I cared for a wide variety of post-surgical populations including Surgical Oncology, Neurosurgery, Interventional Radiology, Urology, Plastic Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, ENT Surgery, General Surgery, Post-Solid Organ Transplant, and Cardiothoracic Surgery. In 2015, I transitioned to the Emergency Department at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. I completed the Emergency Department Residency Program. There I cared for a wide variety of critically ill patient populations including Oncology, Solid Organ Transplant, Congestive Heart Failure and Ventricular Assist Devices, and special pathogens cases. In 2019, I completed my Master of Science Nursing, Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner degree from the University of Texas at Arlington. I joined Texas Cardiac Arrhythmia in January 2020.
