Shannon is a board certified Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner and Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist. She received her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston and Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington. She is a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society, American Nurses Association, Heart Rhythm society, and the American Heart Association.

Shannon has experience as a critical care registered nurse caring for patients in the cardiac and surgical intensive care units, cardiac catheterization lab, and electrophysiology lab since 2005. She has worked with the physicians of TCA since 2013, serving as the Supervisor for the electrophysiology lab at St. David’s Medical Center for many years while attending graduate school. Shannon enjoys her time with patients, addressing their concerns and empowering participation in their own health promotion through education.
